Michael Owen believes that Jadon Sancho would have wanted Erik Ten Hag fired as Manchester United manager. Although United pondered firing Erik Ten Hag at the end of last season, Ten Hag remained in his post due to the difficulty in appointing their preferred coaches.
Former England striker Owen believes Ten Hag, who had a disagreement with him at the start of last season, would have been happy to be fired. Following a disagreement with Ten Hag, Sancho went on loan to Damon. Sancho’s strong success in Germany led to speculation that he will return to his previous club Damon.
But Sancho is said to have settled the matter by chatting with Ten Hag last week and is already on the club’s pre-season tour. Although Ten Hag stated that the problem with Sancho has been resolved, Owen feels that Sancho will want to work more closely with the incoming manager in the upcoming season.
Owen stated, “Sancho made some extremely hazardous moves last season. But it was right that he returned to the club where he could perform at his best and restore his good form. He performed well in Dortmund.
Of course, Sancho would have preferred a change of manager at Old Trafford. If that’s the case, he can go back to Manchester United and start over. I have no idea what his future will be like. But he returned to Dortmund and proved that he is still capable of playing at the highest level.
